#RUNUNITE Challenge

After the success of the Dance Unite challenge before half term, Gateshead SSP are running another virtual challenge throughout all the schools in the community. This challenge aims to keep people active through running, walking or cycling. For this challenge you need to map out a safe 1 mile route to either run, walk or cycle as much as you can next week. There are themes for each day.

Monday is wear your favourite sports shirt.

Tuesday is a virtual relay where you can share pictures with friends.

Wednesday is a fancy dress day.

Thursday is orienteering themed where you need to try and spell out different words (e.g. from the road signs on your route)

Friday is a big thank you to the NHS by wearing blue.

All the information can be found on the flyer below along with the link to the YouTube video launching the event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT1b0tAzna4

We will also be getting the children in school as involved as possible as well as you all at home. We greatly encourage all parents, staff and children to get involved in some way. Please take a picture of any of the daily challenges/themes you complete and send them to the school email address at the end of the week.

We will then upload them all to the website and showcase all your hard work. We are looking to getting as many as possible, so please try and find some time to have a go at some point next week.

Please remember that it’s parents/carers who need to send in the photographs and with permission as well.
