Tulips Set Work 1.6.20

Good morning Tulips,

Hope you all had a fantastic half term and enjoyed the sunshine! I am back with some more home learning activities for you all to complete.

English

Spelling

This weeks spelling words are all homophones. Recap your knowledge of homophones using the SuperMovers video.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/supermovers/42674938

Today your task is to think of a way to remember the difference between each homophone. You might draw a picture, think of an action, or use each homophone in a sentence. Your spelling list this week is the following sets of homophones: weather, whether, who’s, whose, accept, except, reign, rein, dear & deer.

Reading

On reading plus read two texts and complete a vocabulary task.

Maths

On purple mash complete the activity by reading the time on the clock or writing the correct time onto a clock.

Log onto times tables rockstars every day and practice your times tables.

Topic

Remember you have all week to complete your topic activities so take your time and ensure you include lots of details.

History

Our new topic this half term is learning about the Anglo-Saxons. Use the links below to learn more about the Anglo Saxons and then complete the Purple Mash task answering the question – Who were the Anglo-Saxons?
