Tulips Set Work 10.6.20

Hello Tulips,

Here are today’s home learning tasks. You have sent me some fantastic work this week, keep up the great work!

English

Spelling

Choose another activity from the spelling menu.

https://windynookprimary.org/2020/04/spelling-menu-activities/

Your spelling list this week is: subdivide, subheading, submarine, submerge, antiseptic, anticlockwise, antisocial, antibiotic, autobiography & autograph.

Reading

This week we will be continuing to read James King of England. Today you need to read chapter 4 and complete the quiz questions. Open the quiz and the chapter in two separate internet tabs so that you can re-read the text as you answer the questions.

English

After reading chapter 4 complete the continue the conversation activity on purple mash. Use correct punctuation to continue the conversation between James and his family. Try to use a variety of speech words, not just said.

Maths

On purple mash you need to add together years and months. Remember there are 12 months in one year so if your months add up to 12 or more you need to add on a year! For example 5 years + 9 months + 4 months = 6 years and 1 month not 5 years and 13 months.

Log onto times tables rockstars every day and practice your times tables.

Topic

Remember you have all week to complete your topic activities so take your time and ensure you include lots of details.

Music

The link below will take you to some singing activities learning songs about the Anglo-Saxons. Throughout the week watch the different videos completing the singing and activities explained. The lyrics to the song is included at the bottom of the website page.

Science

This week we are looking at symbols used in electrical circuits. Watch the video to learn more about drawing electrical symbols and then complete the purple mash matching activity.

PSHE

Complete the activity explaining the characteristics of being a good friend. You might explain what makes you a good friend or how someone else has been a good friend to you. Try to think of ways that you could be kind and friendly to others.

If you need anything or have any questions, email me on Purple Mash.
