Not a usual end of school year for our Year 6 children but then again this is not a usual year! That said, all the staff at Windy Nook Primary School would like the take this opportunity to wish our Year 6 children the very best of luck in your new school. You have been fantastic throughout your time at Windy Nook and this has been reinforced by all the staff. Both Mr Hawdon and Miss Smith have been thoroughly impressed by your attitude to learning this current academic year – it’s just a shame that it was ‘cut short’. However, your commitment to to study continued throughout lockdown as well – further reinforcing your positive attitude to learning. Mrs Forrest has commented many times about the positive role models that you very quickly became both in and around school.
Mr Hawdon and Miss Smith will be contacting parents at some point next week to personally wish you good luck for the future and to say thank you for all of your efforts over the past few years. There are also some small gifts that we will pass on as well. Finally and probably most importantly your ‘Leaver’s Hoddies’ are on ordered an will arrive asap. Mrs Collinson from the PTFA will arrange delivery of these.
