Dear parents / carers
Plans are well underway to welcome all pupils back to school in September. Our staggered start and finish times and one-way system have worked well during lockdown but we appreciate that the number of pupils and parents on site will be much greater in September. Staff will be around school to help maintain the flow of people and I would ask that you are respectful to staff as I have asked them to move people on if a bottle neck starts to form.
Although these are the general start and finish times, please note Reception and Nursery staff will contact you individually about your child’s start and finish time for the first week back.
| Class | Start time | Finish time |
| Nursery – Miss. Clough | 8:45 | 3:15 |
| Dragonflies – Mrs. Ramanandi | 9:00 | 3:15 |
| Ladybirds – Mrs. Short | 8:30 | 2:45 |
| Owls – Miss Calam / Mrs. Ferry | 8:30 | 2:45 |
| Robins – Miss. Wilkinson | 8:45 | 3:00 |
| Nightingales – Miss. Crowe | 9:00 | 3:15 |
| Bluebells – Mr. Newman | 8:30 | 2:45 |
| Tulips -Miss. Hogg | 8:45 | 3:00 |
| Snowdrops – Mr. Brown | 9:00 | 3:15 |
| Elms – Miss. Hill | 8:45 | 3:00 |
| Oaks – Miss. Tipping | 9:00 | 3:15 |
| Beeches – Mr. Hawdon | 8:30 | 2:45 |
Parents and pupils will enter school via the main school entrance and leave via the Nursery exit. The main gate will open at 8:20 and close at 9:15. Initially the back gate will remain closed, although we will review this once school is open and procedures are securely in place. The children will enter school via their own classroom doors. They will be greeted by their class teacher and provided with a squirt of hand sanitiser. Staff will keep the doors open for a 15-minute slot so that pupils can stagger their entry but it is important you arrive at your allocated time slot. The children will also leave by their classroom door.
For those parents who have children whose start and finish times are 30 minutes apart, I will contact you to discuss possible arrangements and solutions to this issue.
Please be aware that the front entrance to school will be coned off to traffic so that if parents need to queue to get into school there will be space to do so safely. We would ask that parents enter and leave the school grounds and surrounding parking spaces as quickly as possible. Please also abide by social distancing rules.
We would also ask that Year 5 and 6 parents consider dropping their child off at the front of school and allowing their child to come into school independently. This will help to reduce the number of people on site.
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO BREAKFAST CLUB PROVISION FOR THE FIRST WEEK BACK.
We recognise there will initially be some teething problems and ask that you are patient and respectful as we iron them out. If you have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch.
Many thanks
Lucie Forrest
