The election trail started in the Beeches today with our 4 candidates setting out their respective manifestos. We heard their initial speeches and then they were subjected to a grueling Q and A session from the rest of the class. Tomorrow will be election day and the experts are saying that it’s too close to call! I just want to say a huge thank you to both our candidates and constituents for a fantastic afternoon discussing democracy and then seeing it in action.
Article 2: All children have rights. No child should be treated unfairly.
Article 12: you have the right to an opinion and to be listened to.
Article 17: You have the right to get information that is important to your well-being, from radio, newspaper, books, computers and other sources. Adults should make sure that the information you are getting is not harmful, and help you find and understand the information you need.
