This week Year 5 have been using drama to help with their writing. The children tested out different sounds they could make using only their voices to create a dreadful storm, changing the intensity to match the severity of the weather. They then divided into groups where they explored a scene from the Eye of the Storm video, using these new sound effects to help create an atmosphere. Children really enjoyed using their imagination to create the different objects from the video such as the steering wheel, fireplace and a potion bottle. I look forward to reading their next writing piece!
