Dear parents and carers
As you are well aware, the number of COVID cases continue to rise despite the local interventions. Up until now, we have managed to safely allow the pupils in the LKS2 and UKS2 bubbles to play together with other children in their bubbles who are not in their class.
However, following a number of cases in other primary schools, we have taken some further advice from Public Health, who have suggested that we no longer let the 3 classes in each bubble mix together on the yard. They will still have playtime and lunchtime together, but the yard will be zoned into 3 separate areas. This will mean that if we were to get a positive case in one of the classes only that class would have to self-isolate and not the whole bubble. Whilst we appreciate that this will be hard for some children, we believe it is for the best in the long term. As soon as the situation improves, and we can revert to our original plan then we will. The new procedures will be in place from tomorrow Friday 9th October.
Can I just reiterate this is a precautionary measure and has not been implemented due to any issue in school? It is purely based on the advice from public health linked to situations in other primary schools
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch
Many Thanks
Mrs. Lucie Forrest
