As part of our Design Technology learning, Lower Key Stage 2 have been building bridges! We have researched different types of bridge and have moved on to trialling some designs.
This week, Tulips, Bluebells and Snowdrops have tested various bridge designs, including suspension, arch, truss and beam. The children got a chance to be very active in the planning and designing of their bridges – excellent teamwork and communication were also crucial!
Everyone designed brilliantly and our prototype bridges were very effective at supporting weight.
