Today in Nightingales we mixed PE with a bit of Christmas crafts. This morning we made reindeer and elf headbands for our Christmas themed PE lesson. The children put on their reindeer hats and got into character for our ‘Reindeer races’. They then switched to their elf hats to do a team building activity where they had to get their sledge and team of elves from one side of the yard to the other. Next, they were being cheeky elves, delivering presents and stealing them from the other team. Finally we practised our throwing skills by trying to get the ‘snowballs’ into the hoop.
We had so much fun with this today and earned a lot more carrots for our Winter Runderland tracker.
