In English, we are working on writing a diary. To do this, we have been watching a short film called ‘The Lighthouse’ which tells the story of a Lighthouse Keeper whose light is blown out when a ship is heading to land.
To practice writing our diaries, we did some drama. Children took turns to be a TV reporter interviewing the Lighthouse Keeper, with the other child playing the keeper role. This activity helped children think what they might write in their diary, acting as the Lighthouse Keeper.
