As part of our topic ‘Let’s Get Creative’ we have been designing and making Christmas stockings. The children started by researching different types of stockings and making some decisions about the stockings they liked best and why. Next they designed the stocking they were going to make. They decided what colour it would be and what kind of decorations they would put on it. Next, it was time for the sewing. This was a bit of a struggle to start with but the children soon learned how to do it and became naturals. The children then decorated their stockings with sequins, buttons and fabric. The final products look fantastic! Well done KS1.
