Key information for Parents and Carers
Google Meet sessions take place at 9am and 11am Monday to Friday. At 9am the teacher will teach a short Maths session and / or a spelling or grammar and punctuation session. The teacher will then tell the class about their Maths and English for that day. They will let the children know what they would like them to share when they meet again at 11am. The topic lesson for the afternoon will then be shared too.
We know that it is not always possible to access online learning so we will make paper copies of the learning available. They can be collected each Friday after 12pm for the following week. Details of work are posted on the school website each day. The link to the post will be sent via teachers2parents each morning.
We also understand the importance of working on children’s writing and presentation in KS1. We will be setting work that can be completed in English, Maths and Handwriting exercise books. These will also be available to collect today after 12pm.
It is also vital that children continue with their reading. We will be sending out usernames and passwords for Oxford Owl shortly.
If children have questions they will be encouraged to ask during Google Meet sessions. They can also ask questions via Google classroom.
