This week, Year 3 and Year 4 have been writing the Diary of Tadeo Jones (no relation of Bridget). Tadeo Jones is a fictional character whose adventures in an Egyptian Tomb were shared with children via a short animated video. From this video, children have planned and written diary entries as if they were the intrepid explorer.
Both in school and at home, children have been learned a range of fantastic writing skills, including how to ‘show, not tell’ when describing emotions. Children have learned how to use similes and metaphors and on Friday they put their skills together and created some superb diary entries.
