We have had another fantastic week with our home learning in Year 1. The children have put on their scientist caps this week and done some upcycling and carried out a comparative test, comparing different materials. In maths this week we have started to look at measuring length and height. At the beginning of the week we looked at measuring using non-standard units of measure. The children had a lot of fun hunting for objects to measure around their home. On our live meets this week we have been joining in with a lot of ‘shouty phonics’ and had a lot of fun learning our new sounds and spellings. We have continued to learn about the Battle of Hastings for our English tasks this week and our Windy winner this week was a ‘Top Historian’. Well done Year 1 for another week of hard work, you have done a super job on all your tasks set this week.
