This week, we have been celebrating children’s mental health week in school. We have read some different stories about mental health, keeping calm and managing our emotions. We also created some pieces of art work by drawing around classroom objects to create patterns and then colouring them in. The children learnt from the story ‘Charlotte and the quiet place’ that things like drawing and reading can help them find their inner quiet, wherever they are.
For dress to impress day, the children in year 2 came in a variety of different outfits including dress up and homemade t shirts!
The children have really enjoyed learning more about their mental health and have had some really good conversations this week about how to support others.

Article 24 (health and health services)
