1.) see 2.) bee 3.) feel 4.) sleep 5.) sea 6.) leaf 7.) seat 8.) treat 9.) pull 10.) full
Main – Re watch the clip of ‘My mum is a superhero’. What have you noticed about how the authors (Angela McAllister & Alex T Smith) have set the book out.
It is like a diary as it has key events that take place during that week. Have you ever written in a diary? Have you seen your grown ups use a diary?
This week we are going to write diary entries based on the book. We will do a few entries at a time. Remember in a diary we only write down the main things that happen. We don’t want to write it like we would a story. We are just looking at the key points of each day.
Task – Today we are going to write diary entries for Monday and Tuesday. (We are going to discuss this in our live session.)
- Write Monday and underline it. Then write a few sentences of what happened on Monday & what Milo thought. Try and include some good description and punctuation (!, ?) Remember Milo might be asking himself a question about his mam or using emphasis when making a point
- Next write Tuesday and underline it. If you watch the clip again you will see there is nothing written for what happened on Tuesday. That’s really exciting it means we can use our imagination & write whatever we want thinking about what Milo & his mam got up to on that day! Again see if you can include some good description and punctuation (!, ?)
Maths: Speed calc – Answer the questions about 2d and 3d shapes on your speed calc sheet. (This is in your home learning pack.)
During our live meet we will be recapping on our knowledge of 3d shapes together.
Main task – Today we will be looking at weighing objects, recording their mass and then ordering the objects from lightest to heaviest. (We will be doing this together during our live meet.
Task
* Cut and stick the objects from lightest to heaviest.
* Recap our learning on measuring length using a ruler by playing the games in the links below.
RE: Watch the first video which tells the Palm Sunday story – using a riddle.
I know a story about a crowd that greeted an important person, it comes from the Bible. It is called Palm Sunday where Jesus rode into Jerusalem.
Watch the second video of Palm Sunday up to 46 seconds.
Talk to your grown up and answer the questions.
• Why were the people excited?
• What did they do to show they were excited?
• Why did they describe Jesus as a king?
Tell your grown up who your heroes are and how might they welcome them if they came to our town?
Task – Can you look at the power point. Can you make your own palm leaf using the sheet in your home learning pack.
Then can you sequence the pictures in your home learning pack and write a sentence for each.
