Phonics: Our sound today is ‘ea’. Watch the video to learn todays sound and practise the spellings at the end of the video. Then play Pick A Picture. Click on the phase 3 digraphs. Can you read the word and match it to the correct picture.
Handwriting – practise writing the letter ‘u’ from your handwriting pack.
English – Begin practising this weeks spellings. This week’s rule is split digraph (magic e) to turn u sound into letter name U & e sound into letter name E.

Main Task – This week we are going to look at another digital text. Can you watch the video of ‘Rainbow Fish’ being read by Ernest Borgnine What type of personality do you think Rainbow Fish has? How does he change? Using the sheet found in your home learning pack, can you answer the multiple choice comprehension questions about the Rainbow Fish?
Maths: Speed calc – Complete the 3D Shape quiz! Work through the questions and decide which statements are true or false.
Main task – Today you are going on a 2D and 3D scavenger hunt! For your task, you need to scavenge around your home or safe outdoor space and find some 2D an 3D objects. Using your sheet from your home learning pack, draw a picture of the 2D or 3D object you found next to the shape. Challenge yourself by seeing if you can tell me how many faces, vertices and edges each of your objects have!
RE: This half term we have been looking at different stories in the Bible. This week we are going to finish by looking at David and Goliath. Do you know about the story of David and Goliath? What parts of the story have you heard of or can you remember?
Main Task: Watch the story of David and Goliath. How does this story tell Christians to live? David was very brave and courageous, how else could we describe him? Can you create a poster to encourage young people to be brave. What pictures might you use? Could you write key words to encourage people looking at it to be brave? (The sheet is in this week’s home learning pack.)
