Login to Google classroom to view todays tasks. Live meets will be at 9:30am and 11:00am. There is also a prerecorded session to replace today’s 1pm live meet.
Todays learning is as follows:
Phonics: Our sound today is ‘are’.
Watch the video to learn todays sound, practise the spellings at the end of the video.
At the end can you hold a sentence – Dad shared the sweets with me.
Play tricky word truck, phase 4 all HFW. See if you can read each of the words.

Handwriting – practise writing the letter ‘B’ from your handwriting pack.
English –
Spelling task – Find & spot the -ar words. We will look at this together during our live session. The ‘ar’ word sheet is in your home learning pack. Can you read along with your grown up and highlight the words that contain the ‘ar’ phoneme? For example the word ‘park’.
Main – Can you watch the story My Mum is a Superhero again. Look at the section where Milo is hiding in wardrobe but mum doesn’t come to find him. (2mins 20 – 3 mins 20.)
Look at the 4 images from text. (You can find these here online or in your home learning packs.) What is happening in this part of the story? What does mum do? What does Milo think has happened?
Task – Look carefully again at the pictures showing the part where Mum goes to rescue their neighbour and write sentences to describe/explain what is happening at that part of the story. Remembering to include what Milo thinks mum is doing.
Maths: Speed Calc – Your speed calc sheet is in your home learning pack. Can you order the numbers from smallest to biggest? Do the blue numbers first, one line at a time and then if you’d like order the red numbers too.
Main – Today we will be estimating the mass of objects from around the classroom. Can you remember what estimating means? It means to have a guess. Today we will guess/estimate the mass of different objects. (We will be doing this together in our live meet.)
Task –
* Can you complete page 26 in your CGP book.
* Answer the reasoning and problem solving question, the sheet is in your home learning pack. Remember to explain your answer for the reasoning question. (We will discuss these in our live meet.)
* Then play the two weight games using the links below.
PE: We are going to have a whole afternoon filled with PE.
