What a fabulous way to end such a challenging half term with some fabulous work. The children have worked super hard this week with their new sounds or, air, ir, ou and oy. They have enjoyed using Numicon to support their learning of missing numbers in a number sentence, find what two numbers make a given number, counting in 2’s and so much more. In literacy they came up with some brilliant caption sentences for writing a non-fiction report about penguins remembering capital letters, finger spaces and the correct letter formation. The children used their crafting skills to make dioramas of the Arctic and Antarctic to show what different animals live there as well as painting snowflakes. We finished off the week and half term with a disco party. A huge well done to you all of your super hard work.
Thank you again to parents and carers for your continued support with receptions home learning.
Enjoy your half term. Stay safe and well.
