Year 3 and Year 4 have been learning all about Ancient Egypt since Christmas and they have been hard at work in and out of school to show their understanding of the topic.
In Year 3, children in school took on the task of recreating Tutankhamun’s tomb. Children painted and decorated the tomb, created treasure, mummified King Tut and built his sarcophagus. After a lot of proud work, children were proud to offer tours of the tomb and understood how the tomb was laid out. Children imagined they were Howard Carter, discovering the tomb for the first time. Children also had the chance to see the mummification process up close when they mummified their own orange!
In Year 4, children in school crafted some super Death Masks and at home a range of crafts and projects were undertaken, including drawing Pharoahs!
