Yesterday, UKS2 had another go at baking; this time they were creating Valentine’s Day biscuits! We had to recap some of the techniques we learnt last week with our Mayan tortilla wraps and then got started with making a shortbread base. Children once again impressed us with their skills and determination to get the right consistency for their mixture. After rolling them out, children cut them into hearts with some pupils deciding to create faces on top. Once baked, they got to decorating with icing and plenty of sprinkles! Then the all important taste test. It is safe to say they gave it another 5 start rating!
Take a look at the pictures of Year 5 and 6:
Article 13: You have the right to find out things and share what you think with others, by talking, drawing, writing or in any other way unless it harms or offends other people.
Article 27: You have the right to food, clothing, a safe place to live and to have your basic needs met. You should not be disadvantaged so that you can’t do many of the things other kids can do.
Article 28: You have the right to a good quality education. You should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level you can.
