We have had a super busy week in nursery!
We have continued with our planting/growing theme and enjoyed the story of Titch by Pat Hutchins. We planted some herb seeds (rosemary, chives, sage and parsley) which we will keep indoors until they are ready to be put outside to create a herb garden. For World Maths Day, we created a height chart by measuring each other with a piece of string while laying on the floor. We talked a lot about how we are all different heights and that is OK not to be the tallest! This conversation lead into celebrating being different and being proud to be you (LGBT month). We drew pictures of ourselves and compared our eye colour, hair colour and hair styles etc. We planted some more bluebell bulbs which we have placed in front of our play house in our nursery garden. To celebrate World Book Day, we enjoyed extra stories and looked at the fabulous photographs that some of the children had taken for the’Get Caught Reading’ campaign.
