We have been focusing on the story of Jack and the Beanstalk this week. We planted some broad beans to represent magic beans and did some excellent drama outside on our stage as well as indoors, re-enacting the story of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Following on from last week, we also focused on sunflowers. We learned that Vincent van Gough was a painter and looked at some of his paintings. We carefully looked at ‘Twelve Sunflowers in a Vase’ by Van Gough and painted beautiful versions of it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Friday outdoor session in the rain experimenting with water and ‘cooking’ wonderful meals in the mud kitchen.
