This afternoon, Years 3 and 4 have been sharing the story ‘Me and my Fear’ by Francesca Sanna.
We then discussed some if the things which made us feel worried, anxious or scared. We also talked about what we can do to shrink our fear. We came up with lots of fantastic ideas, including sharing our worries with a trusted adult; using breathing techniques if we feel anxious; and distractions, such as music or a happy film. We created mind maps of the things we can do to shrink our fear if we’re feeling worried about something. We will be sharing more stories to help us understand what mental help is and how we can support our mental health this term.
