Since returning to school, we have really been focusing on looking after our physical and mental health. In order to do this, we have been doing 2 PE sessions a week. This not only means that children are getting more exercise but they are also doing more than one type of sport. This term Year 2 are doing dance and cricket. In dance on Tuesday, we started looking at spring movements with the hope to create our own routine in the coming weeks. The children did a series of movements pretending they were bunnies, waking up, hopping around and stretching. In cricket, we have been focusing on our fielding skills. We practised throwing and catching the ball ourselves and then in pairs and teams we practised bouncing it to one another. The children have really enjoyed keeping active and learning new skills!
