Phonics: Our sound today is ‘ai’.
Watch the video to learn todays sound, practise the spellings at the end of the video.
At the end can you hold a sentence – The train went down the track.
Play make a match phase 3, week 3 and see if you can match each word to the correct picture

Handwriting – practise writing the letter ‘F’ from your handwriting pack.
English –
GAP – Can you look through the power point on punctuation. Answer the questions about when to use full stops, question marks and exclamation marks.
Today we are going to continue writing our diary entries. If you would like to re watch the clip of ‘My mam is a superhero’ clip on the link below. We are going to have a look at some of our previous entries in today’s live.
Task – Today we will write diary entries for Wednesday & Thursday.
- Write Wednesday and underline it. Then write a few sentences of what happened on Wednesday & what Milo thought. Remember to use good description and a range of punctuation if you can. Try using ? and ! to show Milo is asking questions or using emphasis.
- Then move onto Thursday. Write Thursday and underline it. Just like Tuesday there is nothing written for what happened on Thursday so we again get to use our imagination & write whatever we want thinking about what Milo & his mam got up to on that day! Remember to use good description and a range of punctuation if you can. Try using ? and ! to show Milo is asking questions or using emphasis.
Maths:
Speed calc – We will look at the multiples of 2 sheet, (found in your home learning pack) together during our live meet. Watch the 2x table song using the link below.

Main –
Today we will be finding the difference between two objects. We will be doing this together during our live meet at 11am.
Task – Complete the finding the difference task, which you can find in your home learning pack. Can you find the differences in the amount of cubes?
Science: This week we are going to look at plant parts. Can you read through the power point and see if you can remember what all the different parts of the plant are.
In your home learning pack you will find a sheet of plant part photos and a blank sheet. Can you write the four plant part headings on the sheet, (roots, stem, leaves and flower.) Then cut and stick the photos of the plant parts under the correct headings.
Task – Create a plant using a variety of materials. The materials will represent different parts of the plant. You can stick it down on card and label the different plant parts. (Take photos to send to us.)
Here are some ideas for materials that you could use:
Stem • hollow pipe insulating foam • card tubing from foil/cling film • drinking straws
Roots • long ‘art’ pipe cleaners • string • wool
Flower • coffee filter (can be coloured) • cake cases • cake doily • milk bottle tops • paper plates
Leaves • card/paper
If you would rather create your own plant using different media such as pens, pencils, paints etc then please do this and then label your plant parts.
