This week the Nightingales had their first after school athletics club session. The children were all so enthusiastic to learn new skills and play new games. We played some well known warm up games like dishes and domes but also a new one called smugglers. When we were all warmed up, we practiced our running technique. This week we focused on speed, the children jogged and then sprinted different distances while we timed them. To finish off we practiced some relay technique, the children all enjoyed working together in teams to pass the baton on and run their fastest.
Well done Year 2!
