Yesterday Year 5 and 6 got the opportunity to complete some orienteering with B outdoors. The course was set up in the nature park and the children were divided into groups. Each group had a map and a sheet to record their answers. Andy from B outdoors explained to the children how to read the map and how they may have to turn it depending where they were standing. The groups set off to try and get find all the markers the fastest and get back to school. The really improved their mapping skills and worked well as a team. All the children and staff had a great day learning outside the classroom!
