This week we have based our learning around ice cream. We enjoyed the story of Keith the Cat and his Magic Hat and some us designed an ice cream on the computer and then made a collage of it (we will be continuing this next week). We practised some number recognition outside, matching numerals to numbered ice cream deserts. We also made our own ‘quick ice cream’ using double cream, condensed milk, strawberries and vanilla pods, which we are going to sample next week. During our outdoor Friday session, we made tree and leaf paintings on the ground and used a hose pipe to wash it off afterwards.
