This week, the Snowdrops have been playing the Viking board game of ‘hnefltafl.’ This is a game of strategy, that has some similarities to chess, where a king needs to be protected from an advancing opponent.
The class had a great time playing together, in the shade of the yard. Games became very exciting and some lasted for a very long time!
It was great to see how quickly everyone picked up the rules and how much they learned about strategy and problem solving – while also relaxing and having fun.
