In Tulips, we have been reading the story Escape from Pompeii. Last week we wrote diary entries from the main character’s perspective. The children worked hard and created some fantastic pieces of writing! This week we are writing a setting description describing the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. This morning, the children worked in pairs to sort a range of descripting vocabulary. They worked together to decide which words were the most relevant to describe the eruption and which were the least. There was lots of excellent discussion around the position of the words into the relevance target. Well done Tulips! Take a look at some photographs of the children in action and of their work.
