Over the last couple of weeks Dragonflies have started to explore our school grounds. We have become nature scientists and have enjoyed taking part in different outdoor, nature related activities.
We are looking at famous artists who use natural materials/objects in their artwork. This week we have learnt about Andy Goldsworthy and looked at lots of images of his artwork. We talked about what objects he has used in his artwork and talked about what his pictures looked like. We have used lots of different size, shape, colour and sensory language when describing what we can see.
The dragonflies really enjoyed exploring the top field and we had lots of fun collecting natural objects to use in our own artwork. We even went on our own natural object hunt!
This week we have created pictures with the leaves we collected and then created natural photo frames with our collected sticks.
