Bluebells started looking at shape this week. To start, we went out on to the yard and learned about turns, learning how to make 1/4 ,1/2 and 3/4 turns. We learned how to turn clockwise versus anticlockwise and created a compass on the yard by following instructions on how to turn. After we had built our compass, we followed instructions on where to draw different animals and asked: Where is the snake? In the North, South, East or West?
Children worked fantastically well and collaborated excellently.
