The school celebrated Odd Sock Day on Monday. A day to recognise that, like a pair of odd socks, all people are different and that we should celebrate this, not use it as a reason to be unkind. This week is Anti-Bullying Week and each class, in addition to designing their own odd socks, will have a lesson on the theme of ‘One Kind Word’. This means they will learn to build others up by finding opportunities to share words of kindness with them.
Anti-Bullying is an important topic for our school community and we endeavour to ensure children know what to do if they suspect they or others are being bullied and offer them support and solutions wherever possible.
