Over the past few weeks, Year 5 have been writing a number of balanced arguments and have become experts on a range of topics. Today we put their learnt skills to the test and took part in group and class debates. The children decided between two questions to discuss: ‘Should everyone now have electric vehicles?’ and ‘Should school uniforms be banned?’ They showed successful listening and turn-taking skills and conducted a great debate!
