This week our winter fitness challenge Winter RUNderland has kicked off! Children took part in this last year and were excited to hear we would be participating again. The challenge asks children to do as much physical activity in school as they can across the month of December to earn carrots to power Santa’s sleigh. The children earn a carrot for every minute of exercise they do and need 300 minutes across the 3 school weeks in December to get Santa’s sleigh around the world! Each class has completed a variety of different types of physical activities to earn carrots and keep fit. We have already earned hundreds of carrots as a school this week with the top 3 classes being:
Ladybirds- 185 carrots
Tulips- 145 carrots
Willows -137 carrots
The challenge is a fun way for children to ensure they are getting the recommended amount of exercise per day at school! Keep moving and earning those carrots Nookers!#
