Today and last Friday as well, both of our Year 6 classes visited Nissan; we all agreed that it was fantastic.
During the day the children competed in teams to build a model Lego car in a fast time but with good quality as well. The focus was definitely on teamwork. They discussed ways of removing waste and highlighting potential improvements. In addition to this, they had the opportunity to use some of the tools that Nissan use while producing vehicles. We also learned about the production of a car from raw materials to the finished product. Finally, we looked at the history of the factory and a little bit about Japanese culture as well.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Nissan for being so welcoming to us on both occasions.
