Energy Advice
I am sure that many of you will have heard that fuel costs are rising and that this will have an impact on heating and energy bills. Citizen’s Advice Gateshead have been in touch with me and asked me to make you aware that they can offer free training and energy advice to any interested Gateshead residents.
What’s it all about?
The training will cover;
• Fuel poverty
• Grants that are available
• Support with applications (incl. Warm Home Discount, Priority Services Register)
• Smart meters
• Up to date information on what news from the Chancellor means for individuals
• Further one to one support if required
How do I access the training?
The training consists of an hour-long session which is online and there are multiple available dates over the next month. I am sure that many of you will concerned about the increases to your bills and so I have also attached a flyer with further information about Citizens Advice Gateshead. They are an organisation that offers free, impartial, and confidential advice and information as a member of the Citizen’s Advice network of local charities. They can help with advice about Money, Welfare Benefits, Universal Credit and Housing as well as other issues that you may need support with. They also have grants available to support Gateshead residents with their heating and energy bills. I hope that signposting you to this information will help anyone who is worried about their energy bills. Please pass this information onto any friends or family who you feel may benefit it.
