Over the last couple of weeks, Reception have been investigating money and measuring.
When looking at money, the children identified and sorted different coins, practised counting out pennies and took turns to be shop keepers. Investigating technology, the children learned how a till works and related it to a calculator.
This week has been all about measuring, we started the week by discussing what we can use to measure. We then measured each other using blocks, we made sure we were counting carefully to find out how many blocks tall we were. We sorted ourselves from shortest to tallest and practised making predictions.
