Nightingales have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes all week. They have been learning about the properties of shapes and using their knowledge to classify them in different ways. Today they were given art straws cut to different lengths and they had to work out which 3D shape they could make using them. They knew they had to use their knowledge of 3D shape edges. They also worked out that they couldn’t make a cone, sphere or cylinder because they have curved edges.
