In LKS2, our new topic is Art Around the World. Last lesson, the children studied a world map and learned about artists from different parts of the world. This week, they focused on drawing a face using correct facial proportions. To do this, the children drew guide lines on a face shape to ensure their facial features were correctly proportioned. This was a very tricky skill! The children persevered all lesson and they all produced an excellent self-portrait by the end of the lesson. Over the next few weeks, the children will build on the drawing skills learned today and create self-portraits inspired by artists from around the world.
