What a wonderful World Book Day we had at Windy Nook!
On 3rd March, along with children all over the country and many parts of the world, the Windy Nookers celebrated the joy and wonder of books.
The children had brilliant costumes of many great characters from story books. They also enjoyed activities such as book swaps, treasure hunts and decorating their classrooms with ‘booky’ themes!
We were also delighted to have live online lessons from many children’s authors, including Nadia Shireen and Nathan Byron.
The children all received their ‘buy-a-book-for-pound’ voucher – valid until 27th March.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Mr Atkinson from WH Smith, whose generosity meant that every child received a free book on World Book Day.
Lastly, our massive thanks go to parents and carers who helped make their children’s World Book Day a memorable one.
