The children of Tulips, Snowdrops and Bluebells have been learning about hunger in the world. We learned that 810 million people on Earth are malnourished and that much of the world’s food goes to waste. Our discussion then moved on to how we can harvest more food and make sure all the world is sufficiently fed.
The classes linked their learning about food hunger to their growing knowledge of the rainforest. Everyone made a poster with a message of ending food hunger and protecting rainforest food such as fruits, vegetables and nuts.
