This week and next week our focus story is, Not a Stick. This week we have used our imaginations to pretend that a stick is is not a stick and that it is an object, which is what happens in the story. Some of us created a picture based around this idea and attached a stick to a piece of paper as the basis of a drawing. To continue our support for our new friends we have participated in collective action songs which involved a lot of opportunity to bond holding hands. We have produced individual trees on the computer, having first decided which season the tree would represent. We used lolly sticks and Blue tack to create shapes and patterns during maths. We made our own play dough and participated in Squiggle While you Wiggle. During our outdoor Friday session, we made our own mud paint and used sticks instead of paint brushes to create paintings.
