Last week, our year 5 girls football team were lucky enough to represent the school twice. First, on Thursday, the girls headed to Harlow green where they competed in a league final against the team there. The girls tried really hard against a really strong team, but unfortunately weren’t able to beat them. This however, still meant that we finished in second place earning silver medals!
On Friday, the girls headed out again to the second round of the Gateshead Girls 5-a-side football league. They played 5 different games. The results were mixed as we lost 2, drew one and won 2. The girls worked really hard as a team in every match and made a lot of progress the more confident they got. They remain in group 2 as we advance to the final rounds at the end of May!
