Yesterday afternoon, a group of year 6 children participated in the Gateshead Schools Dance Festival at the Sage. Over the last several weeks, the children have stayed after-school choreographing and rehearsing their routine. The theme this year was unity. The children chose three songs for their routine One song from their time in lockdown (2020), another from 2021 and then their favourite song this year. The children worked very hard in their practice sessions and this all payed off yesterday! The children performed a fantastic routine in front of a huge crowd! At the dance festival, they enjoyed watching and supporting other schools’ routines. When it was time for their own performance, the children took to the stage with lots of confidence. The children had an amazing time and wished they could go back and perform again! Everyone at school is very proud of them! Take a look at some action shots below!
