On Friday, children in year 4 and year 6 took part in the Gateshead schools athletics tournament. Everyone worked super hard!! The children competed in a range of track and field events. Team Windy Nook ran their way into 10 semi-finals with all children competing in at least 1 semi-final. Highlights included Francesca reaching the 60m hurdles final, Niamh reaching the 60m sprint final and the year 6 girls’ relay team reaching the final. All of the children showed amazing team work skills, cheering each other on throughout the day. Thanks to all parents and helpers who came along to support and cheer the team on.
