Hola from Nursery!

We have continued to welcome some more new children to nursery this week and we are delighted at how happy the children appear to be. We have had another busy week. Our Special Helpers have excelled themselves this week, venturing up to the office to drop off registers and taking washing to the washing machine. They are becoming experts in pouring drinks during snack time and they have usually remembered to stop pouring the milk when it reaches the top of the cup! Our maths focus has taken place during snack time. We counted the number of children in each key worker group and added the corresponding number of cups to the snack tray. On Wednesday we celebrated European Day of Languages by learning how to say hello in Spanish and making our own Spanish omelette. Some of the children informed us that they did not like omelette, however, when they smelled the Spanish omelette cooking, they were very keen to try it and most of them discovered that they did like it and had second helpings!  During our Friday outdoor session, we continued to focus on respecting our environment and composting.
