This term, UKS2 have been introduced to Islam as their new focus religion for RE this year. The children begun by learning some basic facts about Islam and were introduced to who Muhammad was. They then listened to the story of how Muhammad became a prophet and reflected on what he was like as a person and why he was important to Muslims. In the final few lessons, the children started to compare role models and important objects in their lives with important parts of Islam. We ended the unit with a group quiz, where the children showed off how much they had learnt this half term.
